What is industrial automation?
Industrial automation means controlling a process or installation automatically using PLCs, sensors and actuators. It improves repeatability, safety and the availability of production equipment.
What is a SCADA system used for?
A SCADA system supervises and controls an industrial installation remotely: it collects PLC data, displays process status, manages alarms and historises measurements for performance analysis.
What is the difference between BMS and centralised technical management?
Centralised technical management supervises a set of technical equipment; a building management system (BMS) applies that supervision to all building systems: HVAC, lighting, energy and security.
What is industrial instrumentation?
Instrumentation covers the sensors and transmitters that measure process variables such as pressure, temperature, level and flow, and send those measurements to the control system.
Why implement preventive maintenance?
Preventive maintenance schedules interventions before failure occurs. It reduces unplanned downtime, extends equipment life and keeps the total cost of ownership under control.
What is a Smart Building?
